Play in development.
Cold beer in hand, favorite tattered chair, TV hums and flickers. Perfection. Lenny’s favorite team at bat, one point lead, bottom of the ninth.
The TV goes black. Dead. He cusses, pounds the TV. Wait. It's back! Picture - check; sound - check. But, where’s the game? He kicks the TV. Impossible!
On the screen, his ex-wife, Claudia, is having dinner with her best friend, Blanche, and they’re reminiscing about Lenny - comparing notes! He flips the channel, again and again. But, Claudia and Blanche are still there.
He looks around the room. Is this his little piece of paradise or is this a little piece of hell?
