THE PLAY

THINGS I KNOW TO BE TRUE is a moving and visceral piece of contemporary theatre. Bob and Fran Price have four adult children with struggles and secrets they try hide from their parents. But Fran has a knack for knowing what is true in each of their lives. As the children separately try to redefine themselves, what is real and genuine in the Price family falls apart and Bob and Fran must redefine their relationships with their children and with each other. Funny, poignant, and heartbreaking, Bovell’s work examines the dynamics of a family and how they understand truth in the face of tragedy. The presentation of the story incorporates physical theater techniques, dance and music.
